7-27-05:
Work on the project has begun.  The beetle was picked up from the location it was being stored at.   Currently it is undergoing prep work to be painted at Hutch's Paint and Body.  One of our club members works there and has voluntered to do the whole paint job.   

8-7-05:
All of the body work is complete and the bug is now ready to be painted.  It will be all one color (no more two tone).  The paint color is 7-Up green.

8-20-05:
The bug has been painted.  Pictures should be in soon.   The guys at Oak Hill have begun to received the parts they ordered as their work progresses.  All the Engine sheet metal has been Powder Coated by Steven Patty.

8-30-05:
More parts have been donated allowing progress to continue.   The first working weekend has been scheduled for September 18th at the home of Ken and Helen Sellers, 224 Pony LN. in Hallsville.  For more info on it call them at 903-660-3635.

9-13-05:
A new list of Parts needed will be up soon.  There are still many items we need, so either pick an item to donate or send in money.   New Pics have been uploaded and more are on the way in the next few days.  If you plan to attend the Working Weekend listed above, then please call in advance to let them know you are interested.

The ragtop is now seeing paint....Primer that is.  Taping has also begun to begin painting.

More Paint
Blain Gore at Hutch's paints the doors and fenders in the paint booth.  Look at all that GREEN!

The guys at Oak Hill Automotive have voluntered there time and knowledge to the project.   They have also been on the phone to all of their suppliers looking for parts to be donated or discounted.
